Audra Lindley played Frances, Phoebe's grandmother in "The One With Phoebe's Dad". This was the only appearance of her grandmother in the series though she is referred to on several occasions by Phoebe.
Audra Marie Lindley (September 24th, 1918 - October 16, 1997) was an American actress born in Los Angeles, California who started as a stand-in and stunt worker. Her most famous role was as landlady Helen Roper in Three's Company and the spin-off The Ropers. She appeared in many Broadway shows including On Golden Pond and Horse Heavens. After giving birth to five children she resumed acting in the 1960s appearing in various shows and films including Bridget Loves Bernie, and Taking Off. Her final role was as Cybill Shepherd's mother in the CBS sitcom Cybill.
