"Joey and the Party" is the third episode of the first season of Joey, which aired on NBC on Septmeber 23, 2004.

Joey feels lonely without his Manhattan friends, even sweet, devoted cousin-roommate Michael is just too nerdy, so he decides to throw a party to get to know the neighbors, but particularly cool Jake (Geoff Stultz). Alas a hunk like Jake is just irresistible for Gina, and she's hard to beat at pleasing men- still, Jake has better taste, but that kind of man is not to family-man Joey's taste, so he ends up giving nerdy accountant Howard a chance, boring but adoring. Michael, supposedly the party's co-host, panics when his 'friendly' academical rival Seth announces to bring an actual date, Molly, leaving Michael the last of the virginal Mohicans, so he desperately needs a foxy (fake) date, yet not badly enough to accept ma Gina, but he jumps at Alex's offer; she does a great job, and they soon work out Molly is even more fake, but why?
