Marta Kauffman (born September 21, 1956) is an American TV producer, writer and co-creator of the TV series Friends with David Crane. Both Crane and Kauffman were also executive producers of the show, along with Kevin S. Bright. Crane and Kauffman have also produced Veronica's Closet, starring Kirstie Alley, and Jesse, starring Christina Applegate. As of 2005 she was an executive producer on Related. Kauffman attended Brandeis University and received her BA in Theater in 1978.
As of 2005, Kauffman lived with her husband in Los Angeles. Kauffman has three children: Hannah, Sam and Rose.
